    I ran a session, with Andy Longshaw and Nick Rozanski, on technical debt at the BCS SPA 2019 conference in June, which went well. So well in fact that we are planning some sort of follow up workshop later in the year. In the meantime, the slides and session outputs are here.

    I was honoured to be asked to give one of the keynote talks at the International Conference on Software Architecture in Hamburg. I gave a talk entitled “Democratising Software Architecture” on how I see architecture work evolving to be less about an architect and more about something that an entire team undertakes together.

    I was very pleased to have a session accepted at the well-known O’Reilly Software Architect New York conference, where I reran the session “Security Principles for the Working Architect” which had been well received at Software Architect London last year. I’m pleased to say that the session worked equally well in New York.

    I presented a session at O’Reilly Software Architecture conference London describing a set of practical application security principles that I’ve developed over the years. It went down very well, with great evaluations. Thanks to all who came, good to know that most attendees got something from it.
